Professor Ron Beghetto received the Ersted Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2008. He spoke on the importance of "Engaging Diverse Learners in the Classroom" at a luncheon hosted by CoDaC and the Office of Academic Affairs. |

Dr. Derald Wing Sue, noted author and professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, gave two presentations to the campus campus--Racial Microaggressions in Everyday Life: Implications for Higher Education and Racism and Whiteness: Breaking the Chains that Bind.
